Min Jung Kang, Ph.D.
Min Jung Kang earned her Ph.D. in Finance from Michigan State University in 2012, where she received “Excellence in Teaching” award for the 2009-2010 academic year. After her graduation and prior to joining University of Michigan-Flint at 2013, she worked as an instructor at MSU. Her MBA, with double concentrations in Banking & Finance and Strategy & Management, was completed at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, Seoul, South Korea, and was a valedictorian. She received a Bachelor degree with double major in Economics and English from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea.
Her main research interests lies in the area of corporate finance, particularly in corporate governance, board of directors, CEO turnovers and compensation, CEO myopia, etc. She is also interested in behavioral finance. Her professional experience includes positions for HSBC and Korea International Trade Association (KITA), in Seoul, South Korea.
