University of Michigan-Flint

Beta Gamma Sigma

Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma encourages and rewards scholarship and accomplishment among students of business and administration, promotes the advancement of education in the arts and science of business, and fosters integrity in the conduct of business operations. Election to membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest scholastic honor that a student in business and administration can obtain.

The University of Michigan-Flint Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma was chartered and installed in 1983. This chapter is one of more than 200 university chapters of the only scholastic honor society recognized by AACSB.

Election to Beta Gamma Sigma is on the basis of scholastic accomplishments and contributions to the school. School of Management faculty who are members of Beta Gamma Sigma elect new members at the end of the Winter semester. Selection is made from the list of graduate and undergraduate students expected to graduate that spring. Notification of selection is made through a letter to the student and the induction ceremony is held at a special dinner.
