Counseling Services

Counseling Services provides brief, solution focused counseling to individuals, couples and groups as well as limited psychological testing. Academic success workshops and outreach programming are also part of our mission. Faculty and staff may contact Counseling Services for consultation and assistance in addressing the concerns of students. Counseling Services is dedicated to assisting students in working through personal difficulties, academic issues, and crises in order to help maximize the educational experience.

Services are available to currently enrolled students at no charge; student information is kept confidential within the limits allowed by law.

Please call the Student Development Center at (810) 762-3456 to schedule an appointment with Counseling Services.

Students may also complete online screenings for mood, anxiety, and substance use concerns. These screenings can be completed within a short time and will provide immediate feedback. Click on the link below to go directly to the online screening program.
