Theta Phi Alpha Sorority was founded nationally in 1912 and was established in 1960 at St. John's University.  The purpose of the Alpha Epsilon chapter is to provide close comradeship to advance educational, social, philanthropic interest, and leadership training among sisters.

We pride ourselves on our campus achievements such as an organization with excellence in academics and community service. Our sisters have participated and held leadership positions in a variety of campus organizations such as the Panhellenic Council, Student Ambassador, the Chappell Players, Earth Club, TV Club and Jazz Band. We are also proud to have many sisters in honor societies such as Gamma Sigma Alpha, Order of Omega, Phi Eta Sigma, Gamma Kappa Alpha Italian Honor Society, the Roger Bacon Honor Society of Science and the President's Society.  We have also had sisters on the Homecoming Court, one winning Homecoming Queen! Every year, Theta Phi Alpha participates in Greek Week, this year we won second place.

Theta Phi Alpha also prides itself on its involvement with community service projects. Such projects include the Glen Mary Lay Missioners, The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built, The Founders' Foundation of Theta Phi Alpha Inc., Locks of Love, Walk for Cystic Fibrosis, Walk for the Homeless, the Breast Cancer Walk, Food Drives, Bowl 4 Life, Project TKE, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Youth Mentoring, March of Dimes, UNICEF, and the Bridge to Life Counseling Center.

Theta Phi Alpha offers many social activities including mixers with fraternities and other chapters.  We love to travel frequently, go on shopping trips, conferences and spring breaks together.  Whether we are just hanging out on our frequent sister-only nights, our times together are memorable ones.  Every May, the sisters of Theta Phi Alpha hold our annual White Rose Formal that gives us a chance to end the school year with style.  Our Formal is an unforgettable experience because we welcome our new sisters and say good-bye to our graduating seniors.  We celebrate holidays together such as Halloween, New Years Eve, Thanksgiving, Easter, and hold a 4th of July BBQ. We also celebrate Founders Day where we honor the founding sisters of the sorority.  Each semester, we hold a "senior farewell" to honor graduating sisters for their service to Theta Phi Alpha.

When you're a sister of Theta Phi Alpha, the love, laughter, and the friendships last a lifetime!!!
