Award Nomination and Selection Process
The awards are created by the Presidents’ Ball Committee and Major Student Organizations. They are presented annually at Presidents’ Ball.
Awards are presented in eight categories and consist of 17 total awards: Student, Student Organization, Faculty, Staff, Campus Activities Board, The Michigan Times, and Greek Council. The University community nominates those deserving recognition for the Student, Student Organization, Faculty, and Staff categories. Nominations are open for a minimum period of four (4) weeks.
Campus Activities Board, The Michigan Times, Student Athletic Association and Greek Council nominate and select recipients within their own memberships.
After nominations are closed, the Presidents’ Ball Committee meets and selects the recipients from the eligible nominees.
Recipients are selected based upon achieved criteria and descriptions of each award as well as information submitted by the nominators.
