Jeff Woolman

Jeff Woolman was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Davison High School in 2000. After high school he briefly attended Western Michigan University before deciding to enlist in the U. S. Coast Guard in April 2002. His first duty station was the Coast Guard Cutter Bramble out of Port Huron, Michigan. Jeff was then transferred to Small Boat Station Marquette, where he was the Operations Officer. Jeff was a coxswain and boarding officer for five years in Marquette. After six years of service, he was honorably discharged from active duty and moved back to Davison to attend the University of Michigan Flint. Jeff married his wife, Erika, in 2002 and they have two young children, Grace and Lance. Jeff is currently working on his Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
Mike Voiles

My name is Michael Voiles and I am an Army Veteran of 5 years. Currently I am an E-5 in the Army Reserves as well as a Health Science Student here at UM-Flint. My time on active duty included a 15 month deployment to Bajyi Iraq on FOB Summer where my company conducted the PTT mission. I have served as an MP and have future plans to use my degree to become a physician assistant. I have spent my entire adult life in the Flint Area and would like to move out of state to attend graduate school and start a career.
Jeremy N. Glasstetter

Jeremy N. Glasstetter was born in Flint Michigan, in 1975. After graduating from Davison HS in 1993, he went on to live in Florida for 7 years. In November 2001, he enlisted and joined the US Army. His first duty station was at Schofield Barracks, Hawai'i, and was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, 3-4 Air Cavalry. In 2004, he was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. From there, he was stationed in Ft Drum NY, Assigned to the 10th Mountain Division, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 3-17 Air Cavalry, where he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his 2nd deployment he was honorably discharged from active duty and transitioned into a part time soldier for the Michigan National Guard, and a full time student at the University of Michigan - Flint. Arriving on campus, Jeremy founded, organized, and is current President of the Student Veterans of America - Flint Chapter, being formally recognized by the Student Veterans of America National Organization in September 2008. On campus, he is involved in the Commitment to Serve Program, Michigan Service Scholars, the American Democracy Project, the Student Advisory Board, the Student Veterans Support Program, Relay for Life, Educational Opportunities Initiative, and countless others. Off campus he is involved with the American Legion, VetBiz Central, Young Flint Professional Association, and the Michigan State legislative committee on Higher Education and Veterans Affairs. Currently Jeremy is working on his B.B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Administration, and is active in both lobbying the Michigan State Senate and United States Congress on Behalf of Student Veterans across America. He currently works as State Director of the Student Veterans of America - Michigan, guiding an ever growing number of student veterans chapters in higher education institutions across the state.
Andrew Aguirre

Andrew Aguirre was born 14 March 1983 in Flint, MI. He grew up in the surrounding areas and graduated from LakeVille Memorial High School in 2001. He enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman in January of 2004. He was stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA and was deployed to Baghdad with TF 4-64AR 3ID for Operation Iraqi Freedom III in 2005. He is currently going to school with aspirations of becoming a nurse.
John Riskovich

John Riskovich is junior majoring in Social Work at the University of Michigan-Flint. He was born and raised the first eight years in Michigan. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1984 and served in many different states and countries serving bases from Sunnyvale AFS, CA to Washington D.C. and from K.I. Sawyer AFB, MI to Lackland AFB TX, before retiring in 2006. He worked in many joint-service and multinational-coalitions from JTF-140 on the USS Mt Whitney to JTF-SWA in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition to being the Secretary for the Student Veterans of America-Flint Chapter, he serves as an elder at his church and is a member of the Social Work Club and has recently applied to the Phi Alpha honors program. While currently holding an A.A. from the Community College of the Air Force in Information Management, John hopes to obtain an BSW next year and immediately go on to earn his MSW with the ultimate goal to work at one of the many nearby VA Hospitals supporting veterans.
Matt Raglin

Matthew Raglin was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1985. After graduating from high school in Minnesota, he found himself involved with advocating for non-profit organizations as an independently-contracted public speaker. Wanting to further his reach, he returned to Michigan to continue his education. After obtaining an A.A. in Social Psychology from Eastern Michigan University in 2007, Matthew spent the next two years contemplating what to do with his love for our country and his pursuit of knowledge. He returned to school in 2009 to pursue his B.A. in Political Science at the University of Michigan - Flint. Matthew is currently an Army ROTC Cadet of the University of Michigan’s Wolverine Battalion with the hopes that his social connections and ambitions will serve our country’s armed forces and its seasoned warriors as well as they have his community and friends.)
