In order to meet specific faculty needs and facilitate connections among UM-Flint faculty, the Faculty Mentoring Program is working to develop a needs-based Mentor Directory. We hope the directory will provide a venue in which faculty can seek and receive information and advice regarding specific topics, while at the same time expand their mentor network. Peer and near-peer mentoring is encouraged.
All UM-Flint faculty are welcome to volunteer to be included in the directory. To submit your areas of interest/expertise, please complete the form below. Once compiled, the directory will be available exclusively to UM-Flint faculty (kerberos password required). Faculty will be able to request a mentor to meet a specific need and the FMP will facilitate an appropriate connection.
The Faculty Mentoring Program strives to provide opportunities for faculty to connect across departments, units and disciplines. To help support the continuation of discussions and collaborations outside of our formal events, we encourage faculty to invite a colleague to coffee -- on us!
Faculty Socials will be held monthly and provide a perfect opportunity to meet and socialize with your colleagues and experience a vareity of Flint's finest venues.

All UM-Flint faculty are invited to join as individual members to access relevant professional development training, intense and reliable support from highly trained and successful mentors, participate in a confidential "safe space" for problem solving, and access resources via downloadable formats.
UM-Flint faculty are able to join as individual members free of charge thanks to the sponsorship of the Provost.
