Brian Pickford - Health Education (MS)
Having worked in the allied health arena since 1972 and after receiving my undergraduate degree in 1984 I began to teach part-time in the field of x-ray technology. Loving this profession as well as teaching, opportunities to advance to administrative positions began to open up. Most of these positions required a Masters degree so I enrolled in the Health Education (MS) program at UM-Flint. Even being a student enrolled in a master’s degree program began to open doors for me, I became President of the Michigan Society of Radiologic Technology while a student at U of M and have be actively involved in this professional society for many years. Since graduating from the U of M-Flint I am now the Program Director for the Radiologic Technology Program at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan. The knowledge I gained at UM-Flint has definitely opened many doors and opportunities for me to advance both personally and professionally. GO BLUE!!
