University of Michigan-Flint

Francine Cullari - Business Administration (MBA)

I selected UM-Flint for the UM reputation, the proximity to my home and office, the NetPlus! format, and the high number of Ph.D. professors actually teaching and grading (no TAs). All the professors were available for questions and discussion, and responsive to e-mails, phone calls, etc.  The excellent quality of the instruction was enhanced by the many students working in industry who could share specific examples of theories in practice. There is no doubt that the UM-Flint MBA was the best choice for me.

The biggest surprise my UM education brought was the offer of a teaching position in Business Law (I am a practicing attorney) in the UM School of Management, after only two terms in the MBA program.  Imagine a reward occurring that quickly! Teaching is wonderful, and although I have an M.A., J.D., and M.B.A, I am deciding whether my next degree will be an LL.M. in International Law or a Ph.D. in Business Administration, to further my knowledge and skills.  So many UM professors have urged me to continue my education, that I can barely face them if I do not enroll in another program!
