"The American Democracy Project is one of the best catalysts for community/university dialogue and the bringing together of resources for efforts that address real civic issues within Genesee County. Debate Watch 2006 is a prime example of this philosophy in action. Over 100 students and community members watched the Gubernatorial debate in the UM-Flint KIVA. Afterwards, we broke into discussion groups where facilitators encouraged dialogue about issues that surfaced during the debate. The American Democracy Project is committed to real discussion, thoughtful planning and effective action."
