Karen L. Bond • Mundy Township Supervisor
"Since the year 2000, Mundy Township has experienced a 20% growth in population. The township will update its master plan in 2008, with controlled growth and land use options as a major area of focus. Without GIS technology and data collection resources, these areas of concern would be next to impossible to address. UM-Flint’s Center for Applied Environmental Research pulled this data together and provided the township board with maps that vividly showed us a big picture view of land use options, trends, patterns and their impact on our community – and did so at no cost to taxpayers. They’ve truly been an enormous help."
