Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival

KCACTF is a national theatre program that supports university theatres. UM-Flint is an active member of Region 3 (midwest) and participates in the yearly festival. At the festivals, students present their designs, compete for acting scholarships and accolades and view a wide variety of theatre performances. American College Dance Festival Association

ACDFA is an organization that promotes the wealth of talent and creativity that is prominent throughout college and university dance departments. UM-Flint is an active member of the East Central region and participates in the yearly festival. Students showcase their own choreography and participate in workshops given by dance professionals. University/Resident Theatre Association

Each year the URTA organization hosts auditions and interviews in New York City and Chicago. Click the More Link to go directly to their website for information on this year's auditions & interviews.

Members of USITT meet every year for a national conference. New industry ideas are shared and networking happens. Check out the website link below for more information on this year's conference.

Study Abroad in England

The Theatre & Dance department leads a study abroad course every other year to England. The next course is schedule for Spring 2014. The course features both performance and design areas and students have the opportunity to see 15 productions while in England.
