Primary Care Patients (PC)
Adult and Family Nurse Practitioners evaluate and treat acute and chronic diseases via diagnosis, disease management, health promotion, and health maintenance protocols and practices. While visiting our practice, patients may encounter advanced standing students who are currently enrolled and earning their Doctorate of Nursing Practice and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees. The UHWC provides these upper level students the opportunity to apply their clinical skills in an patient care environment that supports clinical and academic excellence. The Urban Health and Wellness Center provides outpatient healthcare services to UM-Flint students, faculty, our community, and members of the Genesee Health Plan.
