Flint, MI 48502

Our Entrance

Our entrance is ONLY accessible from the OUTSIDE of the William S. White Building at the Northwestern end of the building. If you go inside the main building, you will have to go back outside and around to the corner on which our entrance is located. Please look at the maps and pictures provided in the Maps and Directions tab on the left. Our practice is set back from the road and is surrounded by ample surface parking. Some of the streets are one-way so it is easiest to enter the parking lot located to our north at the corner of N. Saginaw and Fifth Avenue (Robert T. Longway). If you require handicapped parking, you may make your way down to our building by driving down through the parking lot or you may enter more directly by coming north on Harrison Street and entering our property before it makes its way back into University Avenue. The biggest landmarks are St. Michael's Church and Rally's at the corner of N. Saginaw and Fifth Avenue on our north side and N. Harrison-University Avenues on our west.

If you need or would like to see maps, driving directions, walking/bus directions, pictures of our entrance and building, or if you would like additional parking information, please see the Maps and Directions link on the navigation panel to the left of the screen.

What types of insurance does UHWC accept?

We are working towards getting more types of insurance approved for use at the UHWC. Until this takes effect, there are a couple options listed below which are currently available to students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding Genesee community. We currently DO accept Genesee Health Plan B (GHP) insurance.

It is important for students to have health insurance for a variety of reasons; however, at this time, UHWC only accepts HealthPlus Partners and Genesee Health Plan B (GHP). If you do not fall into these categories, the Physical Therapy fees and the Primary Care fees listed on their respective pages will still apply for your visit. If you visit the UHWC for an appointment and you have a type of health insurance besides HealthPlus Partners or GHP Plan B, payment will be due at the time you receive services AND our clinicians will provide you with a Superbill which is an itemized form you may submit to your insurance company. It will be up to your respective insurance company whether or not fees will be compensated.

You can read more about student health insurance at: http://www.umflint.edu/dsa/studenthealthinsurance or you can read about the AETNA student health insurance plan directly at: https://www.aetnastudenthealth.com/ . UM-Flint students with insurance questions may call Ann Arbor's toll-free number 866-368-0002 or Aetna Student Health 800-242-3721.

International students are required to have health insurance. For more information, see International Student Insurance Information.
