About the Digital Asset Manager (DAM)

The DAM centralizes the management of university approved photos, logos, and other digital media. The DAM can dynamically generate downloadable variations of original files for specific size and/or format needs.

Login Directions:

  1. Web Address: assets.umflint.edu
  2. Enter your unique name or email in User ID box
  3. Enter your LAN password into Password box
  4. Click Login or press enter on your keyboard

Performing Common Tasks

Search for Assets:

5 ways to search...

  1. All Fields: Any keyword
  2. Asset Type: File format
  3. Affiliation: Relation to University
  4. Unit: Office, department or academic area
  5. Filters: Search by current filters

Click "Search." All assets that match your search will appear

Download assests:*
One Asset
  • Check mark the box next to the asset
  • Click “download”
  • A new screen will open, with “original format” as the image download option, leave this option, do not change the download image format.
  • Click “next”
  • Depending on how many images you’ve downloaded, you can “Download All (zip)” or click “download”.
  • A new window will appear to “open with…” or “Save File”
Multiple Assets
  • Check mark the box next to all of the assets you would like to download (if you would like to download all of the assets in the search results, check mark the box in the yellow bar – the white arrow pointing down allows you to “select this page” or “select all results”).
  • Click “download”
  • A new screen will open, with “original format” as the image download option, leave this option, do not change the download image format.
  • Click “next”

* If you have multiple assets to search and download, you can “add to basket” and create a shopping cart of assets for future download.

Tips:

  • To change how many assets you can see at one time, go to “My Account” and choose “Preferences”. You can change how many assets you see on each page.
  • To change the view from a table to a Gallery, clilck on “View Gallery” in the right-hand corner near the top.
  • To share one or several assets, click the check box next to the asset(s) you want to share, then click “Share” near the left of the screen in the blue bar. You can now email it or several assets to someone.
