After graduating from Michigan State University, Sean moved around from Portland to Seattle to L.A. to San Francisco and then New York City before making his way back to Michigan in the last year. Starting his career in animation as a storyboard artist, he segued into publishing as an illustrator, graphic designer, and typesetter working on projects for companies such as Avalon Travel, Penguin, McMillan, and many others. He had worked on projects for the web for a long time as an animator and eventually as a designer before becoming a consultant in the burgeoning field of eBooks. Wanting to branch out of publishing and expand on his front-end development skills, he became a consultant for social-networking app and digital magazine aggregator Flipboard. Following his family's move back to Michigan, he soon made his way to the University of Michigan-Flint where he was charged with the redesign of the university's web site.
As the Senior Graphic Designer in University Relations, Tricia works with all departments on campus to visually represent the University of Michigan-Flint brand. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Saginaw Valley State University, and has been with UM-Flint for almost 10 years.
Melissa has been with UM-Flint for over 15 years and focuses on budget and account management, strategic marketing development, media solutions, and brand management. Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree from the University of Michigan-Flint and a Master of Arts in Public Relations and Organizational Communication from Wayne State University.
Lindsay Dinsmore is the Administrative Assistant for University Relations. She has a wide variety of responsibilities such as maintaining and updating the DAM, reconciling p-cards, and assisting with the planning of various campus events. She is an expert at organizing and loves helping others. She really enjoys her job and being a part of the UM-Flint campus.
As the Creative Content Strategist, Andrea works on special projects such as producing and directing photo shoots, managing the DAM, developing creative concepts for marketing materials, and visual storytelling. She also manages social and the brand image of the university. She enjoys collaborating with departments on how to best tell their UM-Flint story. Andrea has her bachelor’s in communication from UM-Flint and her MFA from Full Sail University.
Robert spent more than a dozen years as a newspaper reporter, including a decade in New England. He graduated from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Sociology.
He joined the University of Michigan-Flint in August 2014 as a staff writer.
As staff writer, Robert writes features, trend stories, and news pieces about the University of Michigan-Flint. He highlights and profiles the great work by students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Jennifer Hogan is the Executive Director of University Relations. She oversees all aspects of marketing, communications, and major events at UM-Flint. A Flint-area native, Jennifer received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from UM-Flint. Prior to joining the university in 2001, Jennifer worked for nearly two decades in local television news as a news producer at WJRT-TV in Flint and as News Director at WNEM-TV in Saginaw.
Originally from the Grand Rapids area, Bob graduated with degrees in Organizational Communication and Business Administration from Alma College. Prior to joining the University Relations team in 2004, he spent five years working as a copywriter/producer for Detroit and Flint area advertising agencies. Bob's main contributions at UM-Flint include: copywriting; editing; and brand, creative, and content strategy.
Pam finds her job exciting because it allows her to have a key role in the planning of university signature events, community events, and community sponsorships. She represents UM-Flint on numerous community committees. Pam is currently working toward her Bachelor’s degree in Business, with a major in Marketing.
