Calendar of Events

The WEC has events for Women's  Leadership such as: Women's History Month, Scholarship Application and Essay Workshops, and the WEC Book Club.

The WEC also has events for Gender and Sexual Violence Programs and Awareness such as: Consent Week, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Dating Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Weeks, and Bystander Intervention training sessions.

Nov. 15: Create SPACE Art Night

Create SPACE is a monthly night for those affected by sexual assault and/or domestic violence to come and utilize art as a form of expression and self-care. This designated safe space is open to anyone affected by violence, regardless of gender identity. No sign-up is necessary and no prior experience with art is required!

Oct. 18: Create SPACE Art Night FAMILY FRIENDLY

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, October’s Create SPACE (Safety, Purpose, Affirmation, Care, Empowerment) program will be focused around those who have been affected by domestic or dating violence. This program will be FAMILY FRIENDLY, so that children who have been affected may take part in creating age appropriate art. Create SPACE is an opportunity for these folks to create art as a form of expression, self-care, and healing. No sign-up is necessary and no prior experience with art is required!
