The psychology department at the University of Michigan-Flint is proud to offer  innovative learning opportunities and research experiences that can be tailored to meet your unique needs.  Our programs are well suited preparation for a variety of careers including, Business, Education, Law, Medicine, Social work as well as Psychology. Let us help you select courses that will provide a strong foundation for your career goals.

We offer several options to pursue your degree or minor. 

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Programs are very similar.  The key difference is that within the Bachelor of Arts program, you will take a foreign language, a US diversity course and an additional science course. Within the Bachelor of Science Program, there is a greater emphasis on courses within psychology. The Bachelor of Science is available in a fully online format.

Transfer Students: Online or On Campus Degree Completion Programs in Psychology

Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology Degree Completion Program

Transfer students with at least 25 credits or current U of M students who have certain GE requirements met , may complete all psychology degree requirements online.

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology Degree Completion Program

Transfer students with at least 25 credits or current U of M students who have completed FYE may complete remaining degree requirements online.

*Starting F18, the BS will be fully online. All degree requirements, including FYE will be available online. No transfer credits necessary.

Psychology Minor and Teacher's Certificate Minor

Students who are not majoring in psychology may opt to pursue a minor.  Because human interaction is important to most careers, a minor in psychology will make you a more attractive job candidate.  Your major may provide you with the technical skills to get you a job interview. Let the skills learned in the psychology minor help clinch the job offer. The minor may be completed online.

Psychology Minor

The teacher's certificate minor is intended for those majoring in education.  In addition to supplementing skills learned in their major program, it prepares them to teach AP psychology.  The TCP minor may be completed online.
