Transfer Student Requirements
Our Office of Undergraduate Admissions considers students’ academic performance and achievements at all post-secondary schools attended. The university may also look at nonacademic factors such as leadership qualities, talents, conduct, and citizenship when making an admission decision.
To qualify for admission, transfer students must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 2.0 college GPA for students who have completed 24 or more college credits
- High school GPA will be considered for students with fewer than 24 college credits
- We are temporarily allowing you to sumbit unofficial transcripts as a placeholder foryour application until official ones are received in our office. You can send in your official transcript either electronically or by mail as we are still processing applications.
Transfer students are required to complete at least 45 credits at UM-Flint in order to complete a bachelor’s degree from our campus. If a transfer student transfers to UM-Flint, then transfers elsewhere or takes a course as a guest student at another institution, they must complete the last 30 credits toward their degree on the UM-Flint campus. Students must also satisfy all requirements for the degree they are pursuing.
