Bethany Lemon, '17

Alumna Bethany Lemon (B.S. ’17) graduated from UM-Flint with a degree in Elementary Education. She currently works as an English teacher at Zhengzhou University of Light Industry in Zhengzhou, China. This semester, she is teaching spoken English to sophomores. As our Alumni of the Month and advocate for international travel, she talks about her passion for teaching and provides insight for those considering teaching outside of the United States.

Gary Ashley, '05

Alumnus Gary Ashley (B.A. ‘05) graduated from UM-Flint with a degree in Communication. Since graduating, he’s held multiple positions at the University of Michigan-Flint.  Ashley currently works as a Program Manager in University Outreach, where he mentors students and oversees multiple volunteer programs, including Alternative Breaks. As our Alumni of the Month, he talks about the life-long relationships he formed as a student, and his journey from student to staff member at UM-Flint.

Adedotun Ojelabi, '18

Adedotun Ojelabi (M.S.’18) is an international alumnus from Lagos, Nigeria. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Technology from Lagos State University, before transferring to UM-Flint in January of 2015 to earn a Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems. Ojelabi currently works as a Program Manager for Amazon in Seattle, Washington, where he translates business requirements between technical teams and stakeholders in business operations. As our Alumni of the Month, he talks about his experience at UM-Flint and the difference in culture between Flint and Lagos.

Elizabeth Ruscitto, '15

Alumna Elizabeth Ruscitto (B.A.'15) graduated from UM-Flint with a degree in Applied Psychology and later furthered her studies at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) receiving a M.A. in Psychology in 2018.  Currently, Elizabeth is continuing her studies at UDM pursuing a PsyS (Specialist in Psychology) with the plan of becoming a school psychologist. While in her graduate program, she is focusing on School Psychology and working with K-12 children that display behavior difficulties. Ruscitto currently serves as the President of the Graduate Student School Psychology Association and as the Vice President of PSI CHI, both at Detroit Mercy. As our Alumni of the Month, she talks about her educational journey and provides some insight for those pursuing a career in Psychology.
