You'll work with a dedicated academic advisor to ensure that your degree pathway is tailored to fit your needs. In consultation with your advisor, you'll pick one of two options:
Option 1. Complete a minor along with your degree. See a full listing of the minors available here.
Option 2. Fifteen credits in each of two disciplines of your choice. At least nine of those credits must be in upper-level courses (courses numbered 300 or above) with at least three in each discipline. See the disciplines available for BAS students.
Once you have selected your minor or disciplines, the following requirements must also be met:
- Completion of at least 33 credits in upper-division courses (courses numbered 300 and above), including at least 30 taken at the University of Michigan-Flint.
- Completion of at least 124 credits. No more than thirty credits in business courses, including both transfer credits and credits earned at the University of Michigan-Flint, may be counted, with the exception that a student with an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) or similar degree in a business program may retain all transferable business credits if that total exceeds 30, but no additional credits in business taken at the University of Michigan-Flint may be applied to the program. (Students who wish to take more business courses should plan to apply to the School of Management and work toward a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.).
- All University of Michigan-Flint graduation requirements, including General Education requirements, at least 45 credits taken at the University of Michigan-Flint, including the last 30 credits, and a cumulative grade point average of C (2.0) or better in the concentration and in the total work at the University of Michigan-Flint.
- Minimum Credits for the Degree: 124 credits
