Affirmative Action and Americans with Disabilities Act
The university, along with other organizations that receive federal funds, is required to print Affirmative Action and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) statements on certain materials. The regulations apply to “recruitment materials or publications containing general information that [the organization] makes available to participants, beneficiaries, applicants, or employees.” Affirmative Action and ADA statements must be included in those materials or publications. The U-M General Counsel requires that the following publications contain these statements:
- Academic program announcements
- Application forms
- Materials used to recruit employees
