Peer Education Program

UM-Flint students with extensive training who help educate their peers about consent, bystander intervention, gender, sexuality and sexual violence prevention. 

Peer Educators are committed to teaching skills that will help students to reduce the potential for distressful life experience (primary prevention) and to resolve stressful situations more quickly should they arise. Peer Educators develop and deliver workshops/training sessions and marketing the services of the Center to the campus community and assist professional staff with outreach programming.

My name is Kayla and when I'm not complaining about how much I miss my cats...I'm probably somewhere on campus doing homework. I'm a junior here and I transferred over from Macomb Community College, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Sociology. As of right now: I'm a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, a Floor Representative for Hall Council, general member of Block Club and Black Student Union, Secretary of Art Box, but most recently (and the one I am most excited about) is a Peer Educator at CGS! My aspiration in life is to just help people. I want to help and educate where I can. If you see me around, I am begging you to say, "Hi!"

I am a dog dad to my Boxer-Doberman Bella. I have three nieces and a nephew that I love with my whole being. I'm a member of the Pride club here, if I'm not in class you can find me at the center 85% of the time. When I'm home I play video games, the piano, ukulele, and guitar. I can also recite almost full episodes of Family Guy.

Hey Peers, My name is Marcus Williams and I started working for the Spring 2019. I am apart of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, Student Government, and Campus Activities Board. I'm studying Computer Information Systems to eventually become a game developer because of my love of video games. I also love art and have been an artist for 10+ years. If you need advice about the university, I am your guy.
