Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

I am pleased to share with you that there has been a resolution to the recent move by the federal government to prohibit international students from taking only online courses this fall in the midst of the pandemic.

The Trump administration has rescinded its policy, and now international students may take online only courses this fall. This reversal occurred today after the government and universities who filed a lawsuit reached a settlement in court.

This is excellent news and will allow our international students to focus on their studies and use the mode of learning that works best for them this fall.  Many thanks to all the faculty and staff who reached out during this time to help our students.

In good health,

Deba Dutta
