Preparing Physician Assistants for the Future of Healthcare
The Master of Science, Physician Assistant (PA) program at UM-Flint is a newly accredited academic program that brings together a robust educational experience, expert faculty, and outstanding support that results in graduates that are ready for this grown and diverse field of healthcare.
Students will discover exceptional classroom, laboratory, and clinical training that prepares graduates of the program to pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) and apply for licensure in any of the 50 states, District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories. Interested students are encouraged to apply early for this highly competitive program that offers two tracks of study, including a dual degree that leads to both an MS and an MBA.
Trevor Kilgore is the Academic Advisor for Health Sciences. She works with students on an individual plan for completing their course of study. Send Trevor an email to schedule an advising appointment today.
The ARC-PA has granted Accreditation-Provisional status to the UM-Flint Physician Assistant Program sponsored by UM-Flint. Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding Accreditation-Provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.
Accreditation-Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status. It is limited to no more than five years from matriculation of the first class. The program’s accreditation history can be viewed here.
