Dear Campus Community,

As many of you are actively involved in preparing your Continuity of Operations guides, I would like to encourage you to take some steps to be prepared.

ITS has prepared the Remote Resource Guide to assist you in this endeavor.  In this guide, we have compiled information from the ITS Support Center and the Office of Extended Learning that relate specifically to teaching, learning and working remotely.

I would like to encourage everyone who may need to work remotely, to consider setting up their remote connections BEFORE it becomes necessary.  Taking some time to prepare now will ensure that in the event that working remotely is required, you are already prepared.   It is important that faculty and staff work directly with supervisors, deans and directors to determine if and when working remotely is appropriate.

As always, if you have any questions or would like more information about working remotely please contact the ITS Helpdesk at (810)762-3123 and press option 1 or email

If you have questions about utilizing Blackboard for teaching remotely please contact the Office of Extended Learning at (810)237-6691 or email
