Whether you have numerous years of work experience, have earned licensure or certifications, or have served in the military, these learning experiences and credentials <em>may<\/em> be eligible for awarding you academic credit at UM-Flint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/23jk7wbg79FK1aP89\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CPL Form for Current Students<\/a> and the Coordinator for Credit for Prior Learning will contact you to discuss your responses, explore the possibility of earning academic credit, and chart the next steps in the review and approval process. Please note that academic credit is awarded based on demonstrated and documented learning, not on years of experience.&nbsp; Such demonstration and documentation can take the form of licenses or certificates earned.&nbsp; Alternatively, you may wish to demonstrate and document your learning by aligning your learning with the learning outcomes of one of our courses through a portfolio review.
