Starting your own student organization is a great way to connect with like-minded peers, build leadership skills, and make an impact on campus. Read below for step-by-step instructions on how to start your journey in creating a new student organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-840ddafff7b54fe58e667f887897e1a3\">Step-by-Step Process&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9145291ac3581be5b25622b31a9e00d6\"><strong>Step 1: Attend\/Watch New Organization Info Session&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Prospective student leaders must attend a brief orientation session with the Program Manager in the Office of the Dean of Students. Topics covered include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Benefits of being a recognized organization&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requirements and expectations&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Available campus resources&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sessions are offered in person or online via Canvas. Please note that the template has basic language which will need to be updated to suit the needs of your organization.
