Victors for UM-Flint logo

Eric Leverette

My name is Eric Leverette. I am a full-time student steadily keeping above a 3.8 GPA and I serve on the Board of Directors for the Sylvester Broom Empowerment Village, located on the north side of Flint. I also just began a new position at the Flint Police Department as a Police Terminal Operator part time. Before my new position, I worked two jobs and attended school full time where I recently obtained a 4.0 GPA for Winter 2017. Despite the activities both in school and out of school, I will never let anything deter or block my access to pursuing my degree. My education is ultimately for the improvement of myself and my community.

As I continue to complete my education here at UM-Flint, being awarded scholarships has pushed me to do so and to continue on despite the everlasting obstacles that may come in to place. I am very appreciative that I have received this scholarship support, and I am grateful for all of the opportunities presented.
