Public Health & Health Sciences
My relationship with the University of Michigan–Flint began in 1999. I am proud to have served in my current role as Business Administrator in the Department of Public Health and Health Sciences since my ‘adventure’ began here eighteen years ago. Each day I work, I feel blessed to be a part of this positive learning environment at UM-Flint.
There is a ‘vibe’ here at UM-Flint in the Department of Public Health and Health Sciences and the School of Health Professions and Studies. This vibe is intoxicating for me. I am proud to be supporting our faculty and staff teams as we work to enrich and transform our students’ experiences to make positive changes, becoming leaders and advocates in communities to nurture and build healthier lifestyles. This is important work in our Flint community and certainly across the globe.
Finding words to share why I give is a bit of a struggle for me. Maybe I can explain it best by asking, “Why wouldn’t I give?” Through my gifts, I become a bigger part of providing our students the best experience in learning. We live in this changing world together and are facing health concerns in our personal lives and in our communities. It seems only natural that I would give what I can to support work in student-centered initiatives to address these needs. My contributions help to support the happy, positive ‘vibes’ that are making a difference in all of our lives.
Through my gifts I become a bigger part of providing our students the best experience in learning.
