With over 25 years of experience in higher education and student affairs, Giordano brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Giordano holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Toledo, a master&#8217;s degree in Counseling Services from Upsala College, and a bachelor&#8217;s degree from Rowan University. He also earned a graduate certificate in Organizational Learning from Suffolk University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before joining UM-Flint, he served as the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students at the City University of New York, College of Staten Island. His career includes progressively responsible leadership roles at various institutions, including the University of Connecticut, Suffolk University, and Owens Community College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At UM-Flint, Giordano oversees the Division of Student Affairs, which encompasses 11 distinct areas and contributes to student success through a sense of belonging, equity and inclusion, engagement and leadership, health and wellness, and co-curricular and integrative learning.
