Office of External Relations
Bringing Together the Campus & Community
At the University of Michigan-Flint, we deeply value our connection to this region of southeastern Michigan. The Office of External Relations consists of three departments that help the campus connect with stakeholders through engaging content, university and community events, strategic initiatives, and partnerships.
The Marketing & Digital Strategies (MDS) team leads the communication and marketing efforts for UM-Flint. By working collaboratively across the campus with departments, this unit helps to ensure consistent branding, messaging and all content efforts to deliver information to a wide variety of audiences.
The Conferences & Events (CAE) team provides expertise and logistical support in the area of events and activities on campus. Working with both internal and external clients, CAE ensures optimal event experiences by providing solid knowledge and resources to help create positive, memorable campus experiences for event planners and their guests.
The Government & Community Relations team works to facilitate opportunities and partnerships with stakeholders across the region. By exploring and establishing relationships, GCR leads the effort to bring the resources and talents of the university to assist with addressing community interests and needs.
