Marge Andrews, School of Nursing

Dear Newly Appointed Faculty,

On behalf of the School of Nursing faculty and staff, I extend to you a warm and cordial welcome as you prepare for the fall semester at the University of Michigan-Flint.  You are joining a community of collegial, committed, colleagues who provide students with interesting, innovative opportunities to engage in their communities while preparing for their futures though internships, clinically focused education, field work, research, and service-learning. UM-Flint’s approach to experiential learning encourages students to use the knowledge they’re gaining in the classroom to solve problems in local and global communities. When students graduate, they are well-prepared for the complexities and challenges facing them in contemporary society with a University of Michigan-Flint education.

I invite you to

  • meet our dynamic, dedicated nursing faculty to explore opportunities for collaboration in teaching, research, and domestic and/or  global service-learning.
  • visit our 5,100 square foot state-of-the-art simulation center where  faculty, students,  and staff will  provide you with hands-on demonstrations of  learning/teaching in our campus-based  laboratory that looks and feels like hospital and home-based settings.

Welcome to the University of Michigan-Flint.

Go Blue!

Dr. Marge Andrews, Dean
