wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:75%\">\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-x-large-font-size\">Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office of Economic Development and Community Engagement developed a CEDS plan for GLS Region V, which comprises Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee counties. The GIS Center provided mapping and data for the summary background portions as well as assisted in the layout and development of the plan. For more information, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mistartgate.com\/ceds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CEDS Steering Committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-x-large-font-size\">MapFlint<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GIS Center received a grant from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mott.org\/\">CS Mott Foundation<\/a> to expand our existing spatial data repository and develop a prototype for an interactive geospatial website that will enable various community members to access, visualize, manipulate, and analyze baseline data. The data repository will allow for an inventory, organization, and storage of local and regional data, as well as data from community organizations. These datasets will then be made available to the various community stakeholders and the public for viewing, downloading, and basic spatial analysis.
