for request. These data were collected from publicly available sources to create GIS files. To put in a request for one of these data files, please contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umflint.edu\/gis\/contact-us\/\" data-type=\"page\">GIS Center<\/a>. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading mb-2 has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-66352e6fe8217ec1b8b97d039bcd57d7\">U.S. Census Data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-2\">Census information is from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/programs-surveys\/acs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">American Community Survey<\/a> 5-year summary files. Data was derived from the <a href=\"https:\/\/nhgis.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Historical Geographic Information System<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/doi.org\/10.18128\/D050.V11.0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(MPC\/NHGIS: Minnesota Population Center. National Historical Geographic Information System: Version 11.0 [Database]. Minneapolis: University of Minnesota. 2016.)<\/a><br><br>The spatial extent of census information is the I-69 Thumb Corridor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umflint.edu\/office-economic-development\/eda-university-center-for-community-economic-development\/\"><strong>EDA University Center<\/strong><\/a> seven-county region: Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair and Tuscola.\u00a0 Data are available at the entire seven-county extent, as well as in individual counties. The city of Flint is also an available spatial extent.<br>The census breakdowns available are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Block groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tracts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>County subdivisions (cities\/townships)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>County<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-2\">Data are available for 2009-2024.<br><br>The GIS Center also has some non-census data available by request. These data are for Genesee County and the city of Flint.\u00a0\u00a0<br><br>Data available includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Genesee County Schools with student counts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Genesee County School Districts with student counts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boundary files:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cities and Townships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Counties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>State<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School Districts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zip Codes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Precincts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hydrography<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>City of Flint Service Line Connections (original and November 2016 update)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trails<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National Land Cover\/Land Use<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Airports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transportation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-2\">If you don&#8217;t see a dataset listed, please contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umflint.edu\/gis\/contact-us\/\" data-type=\"page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GIS Center<\/a> to see if we may have it or if we may know where the data can be found.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading mb-2 has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-dc31b2e4e335e8c6711aecc9d3dd5ce3\">Flint Property Portal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-2\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/flintpropertyportal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Flint Property Portal<\/a> was launched by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelandbank.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Genesee County Land Bank Authority<\/a> and the City of Flint in 2017. The purpose of the portal is to increase public access to property information in order to strengthen engagement, transparency, and trust between residents and local government in Flint.&nbsp;<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading mb-2 has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0855f808394b49d7839ecdd90f882ffc\">City of Flint GIS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofflint.com\/gis-maps\/\">GIS<\/a> is a unit of Flint\u2019s Planning Division.
