Celebrate the Class of 2020

Congratulations Class of 2020!

We know you worked hard to earn your degree, and we commend you on your achievement. Since it is not possible to hold the ceremony as scheduled, we are moving the celebration online! This virtual experience is here to highlight your accomplishments, and we hope you share in this experience as we remain alone together.

Message from Chancellor Dutta

Dear Class of 2020,

Congratulations!

You are graduating with a degree from the University of Michigan. That is an extraordinary achievement, and I am proud of your accomplishment.

Regardless of this unprecedented moment in history which prevents us from holding our traditional commencement ceremony, you have earned a degree. That is significant. Earning a bachelor, masters, or doctoral degree is a high honor, and is the result of your commitment to your education. It is a moment worth celebrating.

We will do our best during this difficult time to recognize this very special class of students. On this website, you will find opportunities to engage and share with our campus community your UM-Flint story. We want to learn about your experiences during your time on campus, and how you were able to achieve your U-M degree. I look forward to reading your stories.

Currently the alternate date for the April 26, 2020 Commencement Ceremonies is Sunday, August 16, 2020. It is tentative and we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation, and will keep you informed of any updates related to the ceremonies.

This is a major milestone for you personally and professionally. Earning your degree is a testament to your talent and tenacity. You are among the Leaders and Best.

Go Blue!
