Mihai Burzo, Ph.D.
BRIDGING DYNAMIC RESEARCH WITH UM-FLINT STUDENTS
Dr. Mihai G Burzo is passionate about helping students achieve academic excellence and preparing them for the careers of the future. He believes that the pursuit of research excellence and the use of innovative teaching methods are fundamentally important to the success of the Master of Science in Engineering. Dr. Burzo’s research interests include heat transfer in microelectronics and nanostructures, thermal properties of thin films of new and existing materials, multimodal sensing of human behavior, and computational modeling of forced and natural heat convection. Several UM-Flint students are actively assisting in his research studies as well. Beyond research and instruction, Dr. Burzo is also involved in other hands-on activities like advising the UM-Flint “Vehicle City Racing” SAE BAJA team.
