Alumni Graduate Scholarship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Michigan Alumni Scholarship is a competitive award for graduates of any University of Michigan campus. Each award is $4,000, distributed equally over two  semesters, and is available only for graduate study at the University of Michigan-Flint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-5f6c702945f775bbe626b398febc59f5\"><strong>Eligibility Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Newly admitted to a master\u2019s, specialist or doctoral program at UM-Flint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarship can be received once at the master&#8217;s\/specialist level and once at the doctoral level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Earned a baccalaureate degree or higher from a University of Michigan campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale) from the prior UM degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students will be considered for the scholarship upon admission (no additional application for this scholarship is required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-68a25521baafed48c365597fd08b60a1\"><strong>Scholarship Conditions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be enrolled at least half-time (4 credits per semester).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA to receive the second semester disbursement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you fall below the 3.0 cumulative GPA, this scholarship is not renewable for a future term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funds are applied directly to the student&#8217;s account and may be used only for tuition, mandatory fees, and course-related fees.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funds are non-refundable and cannot be used for any other expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions? To assist in filling that need, UM-Flint has created the Greater Flint Community Leadership Scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-ecaabfa9c0c1b7cd8d21b0d2663aea56\"><strong>Scholarship Guidelines<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicant must be newly admitted to UM-Flint by June 1 in a degree-seeking program at the graduate level (master\u2019s, specialist, or doctoral).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants shall be nominated by their employer (Supervisor or higher administration personnel only).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicant\u2019s program of study at UM-Flint needs to be relevant to the position held in the employee capacity, as articulated in the letter of nomination by their employer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants who reside in and are employed by an organization with a physical location in Genesee County and who are not University of Michigan employees are eligible to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The scholarship will cover up to $7500 per semester for two consecutive, full academic years, or until degree completion, whichever comes first.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarship is available for fall, winter, and summer semesters; It is a competitive scholarship awarded to admitted students who have demonstrated high academic achievement. The Office of Graduate Programs will consider entering international graduate-level students seeking an \u201cF\u201d visa; no additional application is required. If you fall below the 3.00 cumulative GPA, this scholarship is not renewable in future terms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students must maintain full-time status (at least eight credits) during the fall and winter semesters of the award year(s).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The total number of scholarships awarded will be dependent upon available funds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarships will be applied directly to the student\u2019s tuition account.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International Students are expected to maintain lawful immigration status according to the guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you withdraw or leave UM-Flint for any reason, your scholarship will automatically be terminated. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-4993cb019f784adcf08028f85f99696d\"><strong>Exclusions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students who are on an agency or government scholarship, where full tuition and fees&nbsp;are covered, are not eligible for this award.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-immigrants eligible for need-based financial aid are not eligible for this award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The UM-Flint reserves the right to reduce, and will restrict the awarding of university-funded scholarships and grants if a recipient receives scholarships and\/or grants that cover tuition and fees (in full or&nbsp;part), regardless of the means by which the student is awarded.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Explore UM-Flint graduate scholarships like the U-M Alumni, Flint Leadership, and Global Merit Awards.
