Once you have completed the Master of Science in Nursing portion of the program, you can become a licensed and board-certified nurse practitioner and clinically practice while completing the DNP with Recently graduated UM-Flint BSN students do not need to submit transcripts from other institutions unless they have taken additional classes after graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For any degree completed at a non-U.S. institution, transcripts must be submitted for an internal credential review.&nbsp;Read&nbsp;the <a href=\"\/graduateprograms\/international-transcript-evaluation\/\">International Transcript Evaluation<\/a>&nbsp;for instructions on how to submit your transcripts for review.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If English is not your native language, and you are not from an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.umflint.edu\/admissions\/english-proficiency\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exempt country<\/a>, you must demonstrate&nbsp;<a href=\"\/graduateprograms\/english-proficiency\/\">English proficiency<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three&nbsp;<a href=\"\/graduateprograms\/recommendation-letters\/\">letters of recommendation<\/a>&nbsp;from any combination of the following sources:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Faculty from a recent nursing program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A supervisor in an employment setting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Physician\u2019s Assistant, MD or DO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curriculum vitae or r\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A professional goal statement should be a one-to two-page typewritten document in APA format, double-spaced.<br>Please include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your reasons for pursuing a DNP, your professional plans and career goals, and why you want to attend UM-Flint<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your past nursing experiences and how they will prepare you for an advanced nursing degree&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Past achievements in nursing, including any professional organization memberships or positions, awards, scholarships, nominations, certifications, committee\/project work, or other accomplishments such as scholarly publications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any special circumstances applicable to your application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Describe your research interests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students from abroad must submit&nbsp;<a href=\"\/graduateprograms\/admissions\/international-students\/\">additional documentation<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A phone or in-person interview may be required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">International Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This program is an online program with mandatory on-campus meetings. Admitted students will not be able to obtain a student (F-1) visa to pursue this degree.&nbsp;Non-U.S. citizens residing outside of the United States may not complete this program online from their home country. If you currently hold a non-immigrant visa and are residing in the United States, please contact the Center for Global Engagement at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:globalflint@umich.edu\">globalflint@umich.edu<\/a>&nbsp;for guidance regarding your eligibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Enrollment Deposit &amp; Application Fee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our program requires a $55 application fee. You can receive a fee waiver by attending one of our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/events.umflint.edu\/nursing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">webinars<\/a>. Once selected for admission to the BSN to DNP with MSN program, you will be required to pay a $100 enrollment deposit (non-refundable) to reserve your seat. The deadline for paying the deposit will be stated in your letter of admission.
