A link to the New Employee Validation page will be in the email sent from HR. The system will allow the new hire to complete the employee validation process\u00a024 hours after\u00a0the authorization email is received. For payroll processing purposes, the validation process must be completed within 3 days.\u00a0The employee validation process is a required action.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct Deposit \u2013\u00a0Direct Deposit can be set up by going to\u00a0Wolverine Access, Clicking the Employee Self Service tile, and then clicking the Payroll and Compensation tile. On the left hand side bar,\u00a0employees can set up the <a href=\"https:\/\/hcmprod.dsc.umich.edu\/psc\/hcmprodnonop\/EMPLOYEE\/HRMS\/c\/NUI_FRAMEWORK.PT_AGSTARTPAGE_NUI.GBL?CONTEXTIDPARAMS=TEMPLATE_ID%3aPTPPNAVCOL&amp;scname=ADMN_M_PY_PAYROLL_SS&amp;PanelCollapsible=Y&amp;PTPPB_GROUPLET_ID=M_PY_PAYROLL_COMPENSATION&amp;CRefName=M_PY_NC_PAYROLL_COMP\">direct deposit<\/a> of net pay into a financial account. It is strongly recommended to set up direct deposit.
