COVID-19 MCARD PRODUCTION INFORMATION

 

EXPIRED CARDS

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is working to find ways to help all faculty, staff, and students during this unprecedented time. To that end, it has been decided that we will extend the expiration date of MCards expiring during the pandemic until January 5th, 2021, although that date could be subject to change if the need arises. This move will allow Mcards to continue to work on door swipes despite the expiration date printed on the physical MCard so that people do not need to come to campus to receive a new MCard.

All UM-Flint campus MCard stations are closed until further notice. However, if you are in need of an MCard, there are steps you can take to receive one.

 Individuals who have a damaged or lost/stolen MCard may request a replacement MCard. Anyone requiring a MCard can send an email to flint.dps.support@umich.edu or create a ticket with DPS. The email/ticket should contain the following information:

  • Uniqname
  • Eight-digit UMID number
  • Indicate problem with the current Mcard
  • Reason for the critical need

For those whose MCard is non-functional, lost, or stolen DPS will reprint Mcards using the photo on file in the system.  Please do not visit the DPS Hubbard Building on campus until you receive confirmation that your card has been printed and is ready for pickup.
