Beverly Dabney, PhD, RN
Beverly Waller Dabney is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. She earned her PhD (Nursing) and MS (Nursing Business and Health Systems) from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She earned her BS in Nursing from Eastern Michigan University. She is a Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager (CCM).
Dr. Dabney is the faculty for Synthesis of Knowledge for Professional Nursing Practice (NUR 421) in the RN to BSN program. She also teaches Research for RNs (NUR 316), and has taught Leadership and Management in Nursing clinical (NUR 430).
RESEARCH AND SCHOLARSHIP
Dr. Dabney’s research interests are in the areas of inpatient service quality and patient-centered care, as well as nursing education with a focus on non-traditional students and online programs.
Dr. Dabney serves on the Undergraduate Faculty Committee, RN to BSN Program Committee and the Nursing Undergraduate Program Evaluation Committee. She also volunteers in health ministries.
