Beverly Dabney, PhD, RN
Beverly Waller Dabney is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing. She earned her PhD (Nursing) and MS (Nursing Business and Health Systems) from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She earned her BS in Nursing from Eastern Michigan University. She is a Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager (CCM).
Dr. Dabney teaches in the RN-to-BSN program at the University of Michigan-Flint. Her primary courses are Research in Nursing for RNs (NUR 316), Synthesis of Knowledge for Professional Nursing Practice (NUR 421), and Case Management Principles and Theory (NUR 366). Dr. Dabney also chairs DNP student research projects (NUR 910).
RESEARCH AND SCHOLARSHIP
Dr. Dabney’s research interests are in the areas of inpatient service quality and patient-centered care, as well as nursing education with a focus on non-traditional students and online programs.
Dr. Dabney serves on the School of Nursing (SON) Executive Committee, the SON Governing Faculty Committee, the SON RN-to-BSN Faculty Committee, and the SON BSN Program Evaluation Committee.
