Economic Development<\/a><\/li><li class=\"breadcrumb-item active\" aria-current=\"page\">Applied Research Fund<\/li><\/ol><\/nav>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b78789428cf451093a18cab9425e3ac7\">Empowering Regional Growth Through Applied Research and Community Partnerships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The University Center for Community &amp; Economic Development Research Fund was established to support faculty\/student teams in applied research that addresses community, economic, and business development needs in the counties of Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, St. Clair, Sanilac, Shiawassee, and Tuscola (East Michigan Prosperity Region Six). This seven-county economic development partnership encompasses urban, rural, and suburban areas with diverse populations.<br><br>University research teams should collaborate with community groups and organizations to enhance students&#8217; learning while increasing the community&#8217;s capacity.
