Going Global event brings economic experts to discuss how the city can become a diverse international community

For Flint to thrive, the city needs to become a diverse international community, economic experts told a lively crowd of about 60 at The Ferris Wheel downtown on May 7, 2018.

In fact, one speaker asserted, creating an ethnically diverse team produces probably better results than just one person, and urged the audience to steer clear of “the siren call of sameness.”

The November 6th ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Ferris Wheel Building in downtown Flint (the onetime home of Ferris Furs) heralds the launch of several related startups and economic development initiatives.
