UM-Flint students are eligible for many scholarships. A complete listing of the available scholarships, selection criteria, application requirements, and procedures are available through the Financial Aid Office website. The on-line scholarship application opens mid-December through mid-February for Phase I and mid-March through June 1 each year.
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNIVERSITY OUTREACH
There are two scholarships dedicated to students actively involved in community service/volunteer activities, available through the Office of Outreach. Brief descriptions and requirements of each scholarship are listed below.
Freeman, Ralph M. and Emmalyn E. True Blue Scholars: Applicants must be currently enrolled at UM-Flint with a minimum of 12 credit hours per academic year and 3.0 GPA and complete a True Blue Service Scholar Application once selected. Contact the Outreach Department staff for further information about service requirements and to make arrangements to review and sign the Student Agreement form as a condition of scholarship funding.
Saab, Ghassan and Manal Signature Blue Service Scholarship: Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicant must be committed to serving a minimum four hours a week for two full semesters per academic year, through curricular or co-curricular service based activities coordinated through University Outreach.
