Effective January 22, 2019, a valid University of Michigan-Flint Parking Permit will be required in all lots and structures; this includes permits for faculty/staff, students, Recreation Center members, and visitors.
Visitor Parking
Visitor Parking Permits can be provided to those planning to attend specific meetings or events. Please contact the host department to receive a Visitor Parking Permit.
Temporary metered parking is available in Lot P at the William S. White Building and the Northbank Center Parking Ramp is available as a paid option ($5.00 per entry; cash/credit accepted).
Visitors to Departments or Special Events (pre-planned visits)
Departments may request permits for visitors attending particular meetings or events by contacting Gaye Stover at The request should be made three days prior to the date needed and include the following information:
  • Date of visit
  • Name of visitor
  • Desired parking location
Recreation Center Members
Effective January 2, 2019, Recreation Center members (non-faculty and staff) will be required to display a University Parking Permit. Day Pass users should contact the Recreation Center front desk to arrange for a Visitor Parking Permit. Click here to review the Rec Center Parking Policy.
Parking for Persons with Disabilities
A valid university permit and a valid State of Michigan permit is required to park in a handicap space on campus. Click here for more information.
