Welcome! My name is Sierra Sturgeon. I am currently going into my junior year here on campus as a Biology, General Concentration major. My goal after UM-Flint is to continue onto Wayne State for their Mortuary Science Program. I joined Student Government at the end of my sophomore year as a Senator because I wanted to know what was happening on campus, and I wanted to get involved. I wanted to be able to help wherever I could, and to let the Student Body have a voice through me. This year I am the Vice Chair of the Senate, and my goal is to actively listen and improve upon the student concerns brought to us. Being a part of Student Government means that we represent the Student Body’s concerns, not just our own.
Hello! My name is Angela Wang and I am entering my second year of graduate school. I am in the Master of Business Administration program. I received my Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration with a General Business minor at the University of Michigan-Flint in April 2018. I am passionate about health equity and mental health awareness. I enjoy travelling, playing trivia, karaoke, and spending time with my family. I am a member of student government because I want to help better our campus, especially regarding mental health, and to help make the campus accessible to all. I welcome my peers to reach out to me about any issues that they feel need to be addressed to help improve our community.
I'm a senator on Student Government. I'm currently studying political science with maybe a minor in German. I'm currently a junior, but this is my 1st year at U of M Flint. I transferred to U of M Flint from Delta College. I joined student government to take an active role in the democratic process on campus. I also joined to develop my skills in participating in government for my future career goals. Being on student government means to me that, I have a responsibility to my fellow students to represent their collective best interests. Outside of school, my hobbies consist of reading and sports (I love football). I enjoy books on history and political theory. When I don't feel like reading, I can be found watching Star Trek or some other philosophically deep show or film.
Hello! My name is Sam Erickson. I am a Sophomore studying Political Science with a potential minor in Business and currently a Senator in Student Government. I personally love sports, music, portrait photography and studying the law. I joined Student Government for several reasons, being that I find it as a great way to be more involved within our school, as well as it being a chance to gain immense experience in a hard working environment, preparing me for my future goals. To me, I see Student Government as a way to reach out and be on the front of the student voice. Once I am able to empower the student body in any way to fulfill their desires of change here on campus, then I will be satisfied in my work. With that being said, I am looking forward to working with the rest of team, as well as the student body, to make the changes we all desire here at The University of Michigan-Flint.

Hello! I am a senator in Student Government. I am a Political Science Major. I am currently a Freshman. I joined student government because, as JFK once said "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country", I want to do for the students of our university. I wanted to get involved by serving my peers. I want my fellow classmates concerns to become my concerns. To me, Student Government means service above self. It's how can we help the student body. Outside of school, I love bowling! I also like to watch political TV shows, such as House of Cards.
I am a Senator in Student Government and have been since the winter semester of my freshman year. I am currently a Senior living on campus and am pursuing a degree in Political Science and History. I joined Student Government with the hope of using what I’m learning in my classes to improve the lives of those living on campus as well as the student body as a whole. Being a member a Student Government is very important to me as the work I do as a Senator is important to making student voices heard by those who run the place. When I’m taking a break from being a Senator, I like to play video games or keep up with current events.
