HELP THOSE IN NEED

The opioid crisis has increased the demand for substance use treatment and intervention counselors. Program graduates possess the knowledge and skills to help those suffering from addiction and provide substance use treatment in a variety of clinical settings.

ONLINE CURRICULUM

UM-Flint offers Michigan's only online Bachelor of Science in Substance Use Treatment and Intervention. The degree focuses on techniques needed to provide substance use treatment and prepares students for the Certified Alcohol and Other Drug (CADC) exam to become a substance use counselor in Michigan.

EXPERT U-M FACULTY AND COHORT SUPPORT

You will learn in a small cohort of fellow students, allowing you to develop a strong support network for your personal and professional development. This structure also allows for more one-on-one interaction with expert U-M faculty. The senior year cohort includes an internship to practice skills in preparation for employment upon graduation.

NOTE: Transferable credits are required to complete this degree program online.
