Special Topic: Geo-Vigilance as a Tool for Marketing Intelligence Systems
With increased diffusion of sensors, businesses can directly observe customer's behaviors and draw their own inferences about causes for these behaviors rather than speculate using survey design questionnaires. Enrichment of current (real-time) and history of hyperlocal data has enabled marketers to build better attribution models, effective promotion campaigns, and make better predictions about customer journeys. In this talk, Professor Banerjee discusses the unfolding opportunities in Geo-Vigilance by enriching the customer’s physical context, as well the potential privacy threats and how to address them.
