The School of Management graduate students are eligible for many scholarships. A complete listing of the available scholarships, selection criteria, application requirements, and procedures are available through the Financial Aid Office
website. The on-line scholarship application opens mid-December through mid-February for Phase I and mid-March through June 1 each year.
There are five scholarships dedicated exclusively for the School of Management graduate student. Students can find brief descriptions and requirements for two of the scholarships at the financial aid webpage for School of Management Scholarships.
Dean’s GMAT Scholarship:
Students scoring 600 or better on the GMAT, prior to admission into the MBA or MSA program, will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship. Students can receive the scholarship one-time and it is disbursed during the student's first two semesters. Each student receiving the scholarship must maintain half-time status during their first two semesters to receive the scholarship. For more details, visit the GMAT Prep page.
University of Michigan Alumni Graduate Scholarship
The University of Michigan Alumni Scholarship is a one-time competitive award for graduates of a U-M (any campus) undergraduate program. Each award is $5,000, split equally over two subsequent semesters to be used on the Flint campus. To be considered for this award, students must have earned their baccalaureate degree from a University of Michigan campus with a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA. The applicant must be newly admitted to a master’s or doctorate program at the University of Michigan-Flint starting in the fall semester. Upon receiving the award, the applicant must maintain at least half-time status (four credits per semester) and a 3.0 GPA to receive the scholarship in the subsequent semester.
